Nov 2009: IFALPES students enjoyed the Beaujolais nouveau!
As each year, the IFALPES students enjoyed the "fête du Beaujolais nouveau". The students tasted the Beaujolais nouveau while listening to explanations from our head teacher, Corinne. They thought the Beaujolais was good this year, which confirms what was announced last September that this year's vintage is exceptional or even "historical"....

IFALPES student makes an appearance in an English class at Lycée Saint-Michel
An IFALPES student from New Zealand (who is actually a French teacher over there) offered to take part in an English lesson at Lycée Saint-Michel and talk about her country. She took part in a dozen of lessons and had great success!

The European Day of Languages was a huge success at IFALPES Chambéry!

Un grand moment convivial européen et international à IFALPES, Institut Français des Alpes, où les étudiants de toutes nationalités ont fêté la Journée Européenne des Langues mardi 22 septembre.

Après l’intervention de M. Dubonnet du Centre Europe Direct Alpes sur l’histoire, l’organisation et l’avenir de l’Union Européenne, les étudiants d’IFALPES, venant eux-mêmes de 24 pays différents ont présenté par groupe un pays de l’Union Européenne et ont donné au public des rudiments de la langue du pays. C’était l’occasion pour tous de parler quelques-unes des 23 langues officielles de l’Union Européenne : l’allemand, l’italien, l’espagnol, le néerlandais et le français bien sûr. Deux pays représentés dans les groupes étaient invités : tous ont pu pratiquer le norvégien et le bhoutanais (le Bhoutan dont un étudiant est resté 3 mois à Chambéry)

Puis, après un jeu collectif sous la forme de « questions pour les champions » montrant l’érudition de chacun sur l’Union Européenne, la matinée s’est terminée par un repas pris ensemble autour d’une table internationale : chaque étudiant avait préparé un plat de son pays, l’Europe s’ouvrait sur le monde … gastronomique !

 

Installés dans le joli château de Boigne dans le parc de Buisson Rond dans lequel les étudiants étrangers aiment étudier notre langue, cette expérience réussie a été très appréciée par tous ceux pour qui les autres, leur culture et leur langue sont importants.

Don't miss the "Tour du monde" at the Congress Centre Le Manège, special guest this year South Korea

Don't miss the Tour du Monde at the Manège. Each year  foreign students are invited to present their country to the Chambériens. This year it will be on the 12th and 13th March 2010. Special guests are South Korea who won the best presentation in 2009.
