Your arrival

Please call your host family to let them know when you will be arriving

Meals

If you have any allergies or a special diet, please let the host family know in advance. Your host family will do their best to vary your meals. If for any reason you will not be at home for one of your meals, please inform the host family at least one day before. All extra meals will need to be paid separately

Rent

Please pay your rent to the host family when you arrive. NB : If you wish to change your accommodation before the end of your stay, please give at least one month’s notice to the host family and to the accommodation service. For any changes made to your accommodation, agency fees will be charged

Telephone

Please do not use the host family’s telephone unless they have given you permission to do so. You can buy a phone card from tobacconists that will enable you to call from their phone and pay for the calls yourself

Cleaning

Your host family will tell you where to find everything you need to keep your bedroom clean and tidy. NB : A little help clearing the table after dinner or washing up can do wonders for international relations…

Washing

Normally your host family will offer to do your washing once a week. If this is not enough, you can also find a laundrette in the centre of town

Shared Apartment

In a shared apartment you will have your own bedroom and share the kitchen and bathroom with your flat mates (2 or more).

The accommodation service will send you more information about your apartment 2 weeks before your arrival.

The shared apartments are available from the 1st day to the last day of each month. If you wish to stay for a shorter period, please contact us for availability and prices.

We have variety of studio flats or apartments in the centre of town.

The accommodation service will be happy to find a solution for your needs depending on the number of people who will stay in the apartment.

No extra charges if electricity costs remain reasonable Each studio is one room equipped with a kitchen corner, bedroom corner (sofa bed) and bathroom. They are between 20 and 30m² Deposit: 1 month’s rent The studios are located in Annecy town centre (10/15 minutes walk from the school) or in a residence close to the school (15 minutes walk from the town centre). Student residence

There is a variety of Student residences. Our accommodation service will be there to give you as much information as possible. Some of the residences will ask for a deposit and will only accept long stays. In summer between June and August there are more rooms available.

Prices for Chambéry 2010

In general the rooms in the residence are equipped with a bed, a kitchen corner and bathroom.

Prices for Annecy 2010

N.B. Limited availability.

Residence: Available only in the summer, facing the lake, a 20-minute walk or busride from IFALPES or 10 minutes by bicycle Standard comfort, room with shower and toilet. Kitchen on each floor. Single room : 444€ per month Double room : 293€ per month per person

Hostel: a 20-minute bus- or bike-ride from IFALPES 310€ per month (security deposit: 100€) Basic comfort, bedroom with a shower. Toilets and kitchen on each floor.

 

Agency fees for reserving your accommodation

If you are staying for one month or less: 40€
If you are staying for more than one month: 70€

A deposit of 200€ is necessary in order to reserve your accommodation.
The agency fees will be deducted from your deposit and the amount that is left (160€ or 130€) will be deducted from your first month’s rent.

Agency fees will be required if you decide to change your accommodation for any reason.

How to plan your arrival?

Chambéry

If you are staying with a family, you will need to contact them a few days before you arrive to let them know your arrival details (date, time, place).

For any other type of accommodation please contact the accommodation service with your arrival details (info@logements-chambery.fr).

On the day you arrive, once you are in France, you will need to phone the number that is indicated on your confirmation letter in order to pick up your keys.

Annecy

Whether you are staying with a family or in an apartment, you will need to contact your family or landlord in advance to let them know when you will be arriving. The phone number will be on your confirmation letter.
